FISHERS, Ind.- AHEPA Affordable Housing Management Company (AMC) is deeply saddened by the tragic untimely death of U.S. Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and two congressional staff members, District Director Zachery Potts and Press Secretary Emma Thomson, announced AHEPA National Housing Corporation (ANHC) President Ike Gulas and AMC President and CEO Steve Beck.
Statement attributable to ANHC President Gulas and AMC President and CEO Beck:
“Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and her team were great friends of our four affordable senior living communities in the 2nd congressional district. They were always very accessible to us, and we were grateful for it. In June, our team met with Congresswoman Walorski to discuss the progress of our latest HUD 202 award in South Bend as she was eager to provide more affordable housing for her constituents. Almost exactly a year ago, Congresswoman Walorski and District Director Zachery Potts visited and toured Hellenic Senior Living of Elkhart, one of two affordable tax-credit assisted living communities we developed and own in her district, almost exactly a year ago. Zach also attended the ribbon-cutting of Hellenic Senior Living of Mishawaka in August 2020.”
“Their public service was appreciated greatly and will be truly missed. Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with the families of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, Zachery Potts and Emma Thomson, and the Walorski team.”
