FISHERS, INDIANA — AHEPA Senior Living, a leading nationwide provider of affordable multifamily senior housing and quality aging services, announced today that it will relocate its Washington, D.C., office to The Wharf, a premier waterfront development at 800 Maine Ave. SW.
Relocating to Washington’s Wharf district aligns with AHEPA Senior Living’s goals for increased visibility and growth in the nation’s capital, where it conducts its government affairs work on behalf of the company’s 92 affordable independent and assisted living communities and more than 5,000 residents.
The new office will strengthen the company’s ability for policy engagement, strategic development and collaboration with industry and nonprofit partners.
“This is a tremendous milestone in our company’s longstanding history — one I know our founders and predecessors would be proud of,” Board Chairman Ike Gulas said. “This initiative marks a forward-looking step that reflects who we are and where we’re headed as a company, empowering us to continue our mission of serving older adults with dignity, compassion and purpose, while also exploring new opportunities in multifamily housing.”
He added, “I thank our President and CEO Steve Beck, our executive board officers, and Vice President of Government Affairs Andrew Kaffes, who leads our D.C. office, for their collaboration in this effort.”
After a search that evaluated several properties near federal agencies and Capitol Hill, AHEPA Senior Living selected The Wharf for its modern amenities, flexible workspaces and access to transportation, hotels and government offices. The new office, located within the Regus (Spaces) suite, offers a professional yet dynamic environment that supports day-to-day operations, high-level meetings and company-hosted events.
“The Wharf offers the strategic location, value and flexibility we need to strengthen our presence in Washington, D.C.,” Beck said. “This new office enhances our ability to convene with federal partners, advocate for our mission, host collaborative meetings and support the operational needs of our growing national network. It’s exciting.”
The Wharf is just minutes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Capitol Hill and multiple Metro lines, providing seamless access for national and local stakeholders alike.
AHEPA Senior Living will open the new office in November 2025.
