AHEPA Senior Living Mourns Penelope 60 Apartments Founder Angela Magrames

FISHERS, Ind., (August 3, 2026) — AHEPA Senior Living mourns the passing of AHEPA/Penelope 60, Inc. Board President Angela Magrames of Mishawaka, Indiana. She passed away on August 1, 2026.

Angela founded Penelope 60 Senior Apartments in Mishawaka in 2010, serving the community with dedication for 16 years. She also served two terms on AHEPA Senior Living’s Executive Committee from 2015 to 2021.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of Angela’s passing,” Chairman and Acting CEO Ike Gulas said. “She took great pride in Penelope 60 Apartments and was always participating at our events. Her passion and service to our mission and communities will be missed. May her memory be eternal.”

In April 2026, she attended the Grand Opening for AHEPA 100 Phase II Apartments in nearby South Bend. Her late husband, John, founded AHEPA 100 Phase I Apartments.

An active Daughters of Penelope member of Gaia Chapter 60, South Bend, Angela served the organization nationally as Grand Governor in 2010-11. She also earned recognition as a former National Penelope of the Year in 2009.
