Mark Paul Hired as Chief Financial Officer

We are incredibly pleased to announce the addition of Mark Paul as our CFO for AHEPA Senior Living!

Mark has more than 30 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting and started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Indianapolis. He has served in senior financial roles at Steak n’ Shake and Bank One Mortgage. Most recently, Mark was the CFO of the national senior living developer Keystone Senior Living, which operates over 2,000 independent living, assisted living, and memory care units in nine states. Mark is passionate about the mission of providing safe and affordable housing to seniors and looks forward to ensuring the financial processes and reporting coming out of the ASL Accounting Department support that mission and provide the requisite information to our many constituencies, including residents, employees, board members, and regulatory bodies.

Mark and his wife, Cara, reside in Carmel, Indiana, and have two grown daughters, Maggie (married to Walter) and Meredith, who all reside in Nashville, Tennessee. Even though Mark graduated from Indiana University, he now roots for all things Purdue Boilermaker-related since both girls graduated from there—so much for a ‘house divided’!

An avid home remodeler, Mark and Cara, along with Cara’s dad, have flipped half a dozen houses and made major renovations to their four residences over the years. In addition, Mark and Cara like to travel extensively, attend Broadway musicals and other concerts (especially anything Grateful Dead-related; Cara just tolerates the Dead), and are both enthusiastic readers. Mark’s favorite author is David McCullough, who spent ten years researching and writing Truman, which is one of the best books Mark has read. His favorite quote is:

“We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”

–  T.S. Eliot

Please join us in welcoming Mark to the team!
