Andrew Kaffes

Senior Director of Government Affairs

Andrew Kaffes joined AHEPA Senior Living in October 2020. He brings more than 25 years of experience working in Washington to the ASL team.

Prior to working for ASL, Andrew launched a government relations and strategic communications consulting firm in 2007, helping “Main Street” organizations and start-up companies find their voices and navigate through Washington for 13 years. During his career, Andrew has extensive experience working in the nonprofit sector.

Andrew holds a Master of Arts in political management with a concentration in lobbying/corporate and trade association public affairs from The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM). There, he was class Valedictorian, and he was voted Most Principled Political Player by his peers.

He graduated cum laude from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University where he received a Bachelor of Science in public relations. There, he was presented with The Pinnacle Award in Public Relations.

In 2012, the Greek America Foundation selected Andrew as one of Greek America’s “Forty Under 40.” In 2001, Andrew was an Olympic Torchbearer for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
